Glasgow's weather is not like the weather in the rest of the UK for a number of reasons. Glasgow benefits from a south-western geographic location. The Gulf stream currents are ideal for warming the Glascow area. The city is also sheltered from cool temps by the rolling hills that surround it. These hills keep the city pretty humid year-round. Therefore, the overall temperature is often milder and even more pleasant than the rest of the country. In the spring months the weather is mild and cool causing Glasgow's trees and plants begin to flower early in the year. The summer months can vary offer very mild temperatures as well as wet, humid, warm and sunny days.

Overall Glasgow's comfortable weather conditions make for a nice visit just about any time of year, but if you'd like to be without a coat, spring and summer seasons are ideal times to visit or vacation in Scotland.
