Just a bit about Manchester UK and its weather... Manchester can be conmsidered a relatively young city, a product dated to the time of the Industrial Revolution. Manchester, England became a leader in the world's textile industry and production in the late 18th century, a position that was prominently held until it suffered a decline in the mid 1960's.

Manchester has what is called a temperate marine climate, featuring regular, but generally light precipitation year round. Manchester also has what is considered a somewhat high humidity level. This weather factor helped boost the textile manufacturing which took place there for decades. Snowfall is not common due to urban warming. Snow can fall however in the outskirts of city centre on the hills and roads.

Overall Manchester's stable weather makes for a comfortable visit just about any time of year, but if you'd like to be without a coat, spring and summer are ideal seasons to visit or vacation.
